The around 1,000 years old crater of the Eldborg in the
east of the peninsula Snæfellsness can also be hiked by foot. The last ascent up to the edge of the crater is rather steep, but not diffcult to walk. On the inside of
the crater caution is advised. The wall here leads 100 meters straight into the deep!
