Faroe Islands

The Faroe Islands (meaning “Sheep Islands”) are a group of 18 islands located in the North Atlantic Ocean. The Faroese archipelago is situated halfway between Iceland and Scotland. The population is about 46,000 people, about 16,000 of them live in the capital Tórshavn. The Faroes are an autonomous province of the Kingdom of Denmark.
